The next growth opportunity may be in the accounts you already serve.

The discipline of looking more deeply at existing customer economics before underwriting the next growth initiative.

When a company commits to an ambitious growth plan, the instinctive response may be to pursue new markets, new logos, or greater selling capacity. Those strategies can be right. They can also be expensive ways to overlook opportunities already embedded in the existing customer base.

Start with economic reality

A strategic-account review should begin with customer-level revenue trends, breadth of relationship, renewal behavior, price realization, and service mix. It should ask which accounts have the potential for economically attractive expansion—and which are already below an acceptable contribution threshold.

Separate aspiration from evidence

Customer whitespace is not revenue. The existence of additional products does not establish purchase intent, available budget, or delivery economics. A credible opportunity needs buyer relevance, attainable economics, a responsible commercial owner, and measurable next steps.
